Everything We Know About the Carrie Reboot
It may not be October, but spooky season is here to stay. Earlier this year, it was announced that Amazon MGM Studios is developing a revival of Stephen King's iconic horror story, Carrie, into a television series.
You're probably wondering who will step into the role of Carrie White. Where can you watch it? And more! Ahead, we have the answers to your burning questions.
What Is It About?
There aren't many details about the new reboot, but the source material tells the story of a teenage girl, Carrie White, who is relentlessly bullied at school. Meanwhile, at home, Carrie receives a similar treatment from her domineering, religious mother. What no one knows is that Carrie possesses telekinetic powers. And when she is finally pushed to the limit on prom night, she decides to unleash her vengeance on everyone who has slighted her.
Who Stars in It?
As of today, the only confirmed cast member is Siena Agudong (Sidelined: The QB and Me, Resident Evil) as Sue Snell. However, Matthew Lillard (Scooby-Doo, Scream and Five Nights at Freddy's) was reported to be in talks for an undisclosed role. Summer H. Howell (Clouds) and Milly Shapiro (Hereditary) have also been suggested to play the titular role.

When Does It Premiere?
Unfortunately, we don't have an official release date for Carrie. However, production pages show that the series will begin filming this summer. Likely, it will premiere at some point next year—or early to mid-2027.
