Bet

Get ready for Netflix's new action-packed thriller, Bet. Based on a manga, this television series will invite you into the world of a private academy based on gambling. The more skilled you are, the higher your status, and Yumeko, the mysterious transfer student from Japan, has plenty of secrets and tricks up her sleeve.

Bet will premiere on May 15, and we're betting it'll be a hit.

 

We Were Liars

Spoiler alert: the upcoming year will be a hit for book-to-television adaptation. Up next is E. Lockhart's We Were Liars. This YA mystery novel and show will introduce you to the Sinclairs, an all-American, Kennedy-esque family.

As lead Cadence Sinclair attempts to remember the events of what destroyed her family, she uncovers many dark secrets about their history and the true events of the evening.

The show begins streaming on June 18.

Ironheart

The Marvel Cinematic Universe returns with Ironheart. This television series returns MIT student Riri Williams home to Chicago after the events of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Eventually, she meets Parker Robbins, aka The Hood, teaching her a number of dark secrets that challenge technology against magic.

 

Off Campus

We know hockey romance is all the rage in the publishing industry, but we haven't heard much about it on our television screen. Well, until now.

This summer, Amazon Prime will begin filming their on-screen adaptation of Elle Kennedy's Off Campus. The first season will follow The Deal, which is the love story of Briar University star player Garrett Graham (played by Belmont Cameli) and aspiring songwriter and singer Hannah Wells (played by Ella Bright).

 

Carrie

Get ready for spooky season because we are about to get another reboot of Stephen King's Carrie. This version will remain truthful to the original storyline, but rather than its typical film format, you'll get eight episodes on Amazon Prime. We don't know much information yet, but Siena Agudong (Sidelined: The QB and MeResident Evil) will play Sue Snell. Summer H. Howell is also in talks to play the titular role of Carrie White.

 

Holes

Here's another another book adaptation! Many people know and love the '00s version of Holes, starring Shia LaBeouf. In Disney's newest version, it won't be a ragtag team of boys helming the story. This one gets an all-female cast and a sapphic twist. Shay Rudolph will play the lead, while the ensemble is rounded out by Flor Delis Alicea, Anire Kim Amoda, Iesha Daniels and more.

 

Elle

Curious to learn who Legally Blonde's Elle Woods was before she became a student at Harvard Law? Elle will answer your questions. This upcoming Prime series follows the perfectly pink gal in high school. Lexi Minetree will step into the iconic character, first played by Reese Witherspoon.
