Korean Indie Artist from20 Talks ‘BAD REVENGE’ and Its Terminator-Inspired Video

The Faker Club's from20, formerly of K-pop group BIGSTAR, is making quite the name for himself as an artist on the rise, and we think his latest single, "BAD REVENGE," is the perfect showcase of his massive potential.

With its pulse-pounding beat, '80s-infused synths and driving pop sound, it's completely irresistible, and we can't help but move along with every enthralling note. It dropped earlier this month, complete with a thrilling self-directed music video inspired by The Terminator and featuring choreography that'll keep you watching from start to finish. As soon as we saw it, we knew we had to learn more about the video and the artist behind it, and from20 was kind enough to fill us in on all of it in the interview below.

The Story Behind 'BAD REVENGE'

from20: The inspiration for the revenge trilogy, comprising "WEOL," "Chemical" and "BAD REVENGE," came from my past love. It was a very difficult and painful love. I hope that this music can provide comfort and strength to all those who have gone through tough relationships. I think you would enjoy listening to these three songs in this order in one go.

What 'BAD REVENGE' Means

from20: I believe that this new single will be very important to me and my fans even after some time has passed. I think I am constantly pushing and breaking my own limits to grow and develop. With this new single, I feel that I have once again expanded my potential with dance and a toned body. I strive to always show more than what fans expect, and I hope that they can have fun supporting my infinite potential.

On the Track's '80s Vibes

from20: I have been very interested in synth-pop for several years now. When I thought about from20, I wanted to create a fresh and intense impression, and I thought that the genre of synth-pop was very suitable for that. Personally, I am also very interested in the cultural industry of the 1980s and 1990s. In this music video, I was able to include my interests, such as my love for the Terminator movie series and the emotions of that time.

On the Music Video

from20: For this song and music video, I wanted to show an artist seeking revenge with a more impressive image. That meant I had to be cool, and the scenes, colors and artwork had to be impressive as well. I was personally inspired by many films from the 1980s, which influenced the creative process. Both Terminator and Rocky were works that I was inspired by and paid homage to while producing the music video.

Final Thoughts

from20: I have never been as happy and confident as I am now since I started doing music. It's all thanks to you who believe in and support from20. I hope to continue bringing you music and works that won't disappoint you. Please love me a lot as an artist who sings with a sincere and trendy voice. Love you 🙂
