We're big fans of bookstores.

The smell, the feel, the vast amounts of knowledge—there's nothing we love quite as much as spending an afternoon browsing the shelves for new reads. And while we could easily spend hours lost in our favorite book shops, we can't just forget about our social media while we hunt for new  titles.

Thankfully, we've found a solution that meets all our needs. Keep scrolling to see the most incredible bookstores with an Insta-worthy aesthetic.

1. The Last Bookstore 

Location: Los Angeles, CA

Located in the heart of downtown Los Angeles, The Last Bookstore is everything you want out of a book-buying experience. With over 250,000 new and used books scattered around the 22,000 square foot space, you're sure to walk away with at least one book you can dig into. Plus, the store is arranged in a twist of hallways and secret rooms with plenty of incredible photo opportunities, including an arching hallway made of books. It doesn't get more Insta-worthy than that.

 

2. Faulkner House Books 

Location: New Orleans, LA

Named after famous author William Faulkner, Faulkner House Books is best known for its rare editions of classic books and charming aesthetic. You can grab beautiful copies of your favorite fine literature, and snap an Insta-worthy pic at the adorable baby blue front door.

3. Baldwin's Book Barn

Location: West Chester, PA

Built in 1822, this barn-turned-bookstore is five stories of various nooks and crannies filled to the brim with books. The stone walls, wood-burning stove and winding hallways give this bookstore a unique feel that could have us browsing these shelves for hours. Make sure you snap a pic on the way out to document your visit.

4. Brattle Book Shop 

Location: Boston, MA

Another store with lots of history, Brattle Book Shop was founded in 1825 and has proudly been selling all things literature-related ever since. While the inside of the store boasts 3 stories of 250,000 books, the real gem is the outdoor sale lot. Nestled in the alleyway are shelves upon shelves of discounted books. Not only can you find some truly great reading material at a reduced price, you can also snap a perfectly charming pic for the 'gram.

 

5. Bart's Books

Location: Ojai, California

Bart's Books is a bookstore unlike any other. Home to nearly a million books, wandering the shelves of this  massive shop can easily fill an afternoon. Plus, canopies, plenty of greenery and lots of sunlight make the perfect Insta-worthy aesthetic.

6. Full Circle Bookstore

Location: Oklahoma City, OK

With more than 60,000 titles, Full Circle Bookstore is the largest independent, locally-owned bookstore in Oklahoma. What truly sets this shop apart, however, is the rolling ladders that ring the 13-foot bookcases. Reminiscent of the incredible library in Beauty and the Beast, you can definitely snap an Instagram-worthy pic here.

7. Books Are Magic

Location: Brooklyn, NY

Just open for a little over a year, Books Are Magic was made to be Instagrammed. After all, there's an entire mural just waiting for you to snap some influencer-appropriate Instagram pics. Plus, we just happen to agree: Books are magic.
