It's a week full of boy bands. You'll find a solo debut from 5 Seconds of Summer's Calum Hood. Meanwhile, ATEEZ and the Jonas Brothers reunite for another full-length project.

And we didn't forget about the iconic ladies of music. Tanner Adell continues her newest era with "Snakeskin." Meanwhile, Tyla drops an infectious single for the upcoming Smurfs film.

To dive deeper into everything we haven't stopped streaming, continue scrolling to discover the 10 biggest things that happened in music the week of June 13, 2025.

1. Tanner Adell Is Slicker than 'Snakeskin' on Her Honest Single

With "Snakeskin," Tanner Adell makes one thing known: she doesn't need you. Over the years, she has grown a thick skin, which might have even made it more difficult for her to love. In a press statement, Tanner revealed, "I wrote this song for people who have been broken so many times that they think they're hard to love. I want it to be a safe space where you can push back against that painful inner narrative. A space where even the most wounded hearts can still be held, healed and love."

Beginning at the end of July, Tanner will embark on the Giddy Up Gorgeous Tour. You won't want to miss it if you live near one of her seven dates.

2. ARTMS Parties With Icarus on Infection Mini-Album

The title of K-pop's debut mini-album may be Club Icarus, but ARTMS definitely didn't fly too close to the sun. In the six-track project, the group boasts lyrics about a rebirth and strength. It's poetic, following their concept after exiting their former group, LOONA, nearly two years ago. But clearly, they've only gone up from there.

3. Will Smith Makes a Triumphant Return to the Music Industry on 'Pretty Girls'

Most people know Will Smith for his acting chops, but did you also know about his music career? The Aladdin star was a prolific rapper in the '90s. And today, he returned to his roots with a new single, "Pretty Girls," featuring OBanga. When you listen to it, you'll hear those nostalgic drums and beats. Maybe, just maybe, it's the first step into Will's ultimate comeback.

4. salem ilese Contemplates Adulthood Inside LP, growing down

Forget growing up. On her latest album, salem ilese is "growing down." Led by "I'M NOT SCARED," Salem confronts the weird existentialism of being adult. It's bittersweet, leads to a few pains, but she always comes out even stronger. Like usual, the music contains plenty of Salem's extremely relatable lyrics: "We're alive somehow/ So you bet we're going out/ Part of growing up is growing down."

5. Kehlani Accepts the 'Folder' Nature of a Breakup in a Sultry Single

On her new single, "Folded," Kehlani explores the ramifications of breaking up with loose ties. She knows it not over. That's why she's right there waiting (and with even less expectations): "I don't need no roses, just need some flowers from my garden." Slow, sensual and yearning. Here's to hoping that her next album will be equally as steamy.

6. Tyla Turns Blue With Smurfs Soundtrack Single

A new Smurfs movie is coming. This time, it will be produced and starred by Rihanna. You'll also hear voices from James Corden and Nick Offerman. With Rihanna involved, we're not surprised to hear it has a star-studded soundtrack featuring Tyla.

Tyla's track, "Everything Goes With Blue," shares how iconic the color blue is. The beautiful sky, everything you wear and, of course, the Smurfs.

7. K-Pop Group ATEEZ Bask in the Golden Hour With a Third Installment of Their EP

The boys of ATEEZ are back on Golden Hour: Part 3.

The third installment of this saga introduces five new tracks. The Korean powerhouse group first started the series in 2024 before later releasing the sequel in November. In an interview with Apple Music, they discuss the careful curation of the tracklist alongside their maturity in songwriting and performance over the years: "I think it might feel like the boys who sang 'Wave' six years ago have all grown up and returned to that same season," said SEONGHWA.

8. j-hope Continues His Solo Endeavors With GloRilla-supported single, 'Killin' It Girl'

Almost every member of BTS has officially left the military. But as we await Suga's return, the members of the seven-member act continue to release solo music. This week, j-hope dropped his new collaboration with GloRilla, "Killin' It Girl." With lyrics like "Oh, you killin' it, girl/ Baddest out of your friends […]/ All without a man," the track will give you the deserving confidence boost you need for the entire summer.

9. Revisit a Jonas Brothers Concert With Their Latest Release, Live From the O2 London

There's nothing like hearing music live. Unlike the recording studio, you don't have infinite takes to get the perfect, polished product. Instead, it's gritty and full of personality. If you love the Jonas Brothers, you'll be excited to hear their greatest hits from the performance at the O2 in London. It has oldie but goodies, like "S.O.S." and "Lovebug."  You'll also hear more recent hits, such as "Leave Before You Love Me." There's even a cover of The Cranberries' "Dreams."

10. Learn More About 5SOS Bassist Calum Hood on His Premiere Album, ORDER chaos ORDER

We've grown quite familiar with the guys of 5 Seconds of Summer since their breakthrough in the early 2010s. As they've matured into veteran artist, each member of the quartet shines in their unique solo project. Today, we received Calum Hood's, known as ORDER chaos ORDER. It's subtly and intentionally soft, a key component of his approach to lyricism.

"My lyrics come from a place of purity," he explains in a press release. "Growing up, the whole reason I wanted to do music was so that I could write songs. It was important to pay homage to that side of my younger self."
