NYLON’s Desert Disco Added a New Twist to the Stagecoach Festivities in 2025

The year's biggest country music event, Stagecoach Festival, took place this weekend from April 25 to April 27, and NYLON made the most of it with their own unforgettable event—the first ever NYLON Desert Disco.

The invite-only party presented by Coach was held at Maraza in Thermal, California late in the evening of Friday, April 25, combining Stagecoach's boot-stomping country energy with an electric twist and packed with DJ sets, VIP guests and exciting experiences befitting the evocative title of "Desert Disco."

The Disco

Coach ensured that NYLON's inaugural Desert Disco was a soiree to remember with experiences including a mechanical bull, bag charm giveaway and photo stable with a playful rodeo theme. The event offered touch-ups from e.l.f. Cosmetics in a dazzling mirrored photo room and manicures by Sally Hansen, setting the scene for plenty of country fun to be had.

"Stepping back into the desert this year with NYLON Desert Disco, and all its surprises, was nothing short of unforgettable," revealed Lauren McCarthy, editor-in-chief of NYLON in a press release. "Tapping into Gen Z's current obsession with all things country—while staying true to NYLON's bold, signature style—allowed us to create something that felt both of-the-moment and totally our own. The night was a celebration of what's new, what's next, and NYLON's place right in the middle of it all."

The VIPs

Of course, Desert Disco and its festivities attracted a number of unforgettable guests. They included everyone from Backstreet Boys and NSYNC alums AJ McLean and Lance Bass to fashion icon Rachel Zoe, country artist Dustin Lynch, model Yara Khmidan and actresses Chandler Kinney and Meg Donnelly.

The Music

And since it wouldn't be right to hold an epic event during Stagecoach without great music, Desert Disco absolutely delivered with a perfect fusion of classic country sounds and electronic music. This included show-stopping DJ sets from Mojave Grey, Kozlow and MC4dD, and a headlining set by Xandra.

And the icing on the cake was a surprise appearance from country sensation Tucker Wetmore, who showed up to perform three songs of his own before the party was through.

It goes without saying that the first Desert Disco was a night to remember, and we're hoping to see it return for many years of Stagecoach to come.
