Rae Wellness's Dark Chocolate Supplements Are an Awesome Way to Enjoy a Healthier Mind and Body
The supplement brand, with an emphasis on well-being for everyone, recently added two new items to their collection: Probiotic Chocolates and Destress Chocolates. They're designed not only to taste great, but to also be fantastic for the body and mind, and when the team behind the brand reached out to me to ask if I'd like to try them, I just had to say yes. Curious? Keep reading to find out everything you wanted to know about the supplements.
Rae Wellness was created around the belief that everyone should have access to wellness. They make supplements that nourish the body as well as the mind in order to allow customers to thrive and live their best lives. 5% of every purchase of their products also goes to the non-profit Girls Inc., which empowers girls to be strong, smart and bold through service and advocacy.
And their recent release of dark chocolate supplements may be their biggest innovation yet. These 60% cacao dark chocolates are just 40 calories apiece while offering great benefits by including probiotics and stress-relieving ingredients. They're vegan, non-GMO and gluten-free with no artificial preservatives or filler ingredients, and you only have to eat one a day to see results. Each box of Probiotic Chocolates or Destress Chocolates contains 15 individually wrapped pieces and costs $14.99.
I decided to dig into the Probiotic Chocolate box first, and when I unwrapped the first piece from its silver foil, I was pleased to see that it was in the shape of a triangular prism. When I bit in, I found that there was a nice snap to the chocolate, and in addition to the rich, bold flavor of the dark chocolate, it was packed with salty flavor. As a big fan of salty desserts, I loved the complement between the chocolate and the salt, and loved every last second of the experience.

And while it can be tough to tell whether probiotics are actually doing their thing, over the week I've been having a Probiotic Chocolate daily, I've found that my stomach feels much more settled. I haven't had any indigestion or other tummy issues—and since it's super tasty and portable thanks to being invidiously wrapped, I haven't forgotten and skipped a day yet. It's also said that good gut health is also essential to the health of the overall body and mind, and I have felt pretty great since enjoying these chocolates daily—though that also might be in part to enjoying the other chocolates from the brand.

After my great first experience with the Probiotic Chocolates, I couldn't wait to try the Destress Chocolates. After finding that it was the same unique shape, I took my first bite and discovered I loved the flavor even more than the first.
This Destress chocolate starts off with the base of dark chocolate but is layered with delicate mint and a hint of floral lavender to make it unlike anything else I've ever tasted. I'm a sucker for all things lavender-flavored (or even scented) so I'm completely obsessed—and even find myself slightly disappointed, on occasion, that I have to wait until the next day to have another one! The flavor itself tastes calm, and that's exactly what I feel after eating one.
Maybe it's all in my head because the sensation of relaxation feels almost immediate after eating one of these chocolates. The key ingredient is ashwagandha, an Ayurvedic herb I actually take as a pill supplement because I've found it helps me stay calm and cool throughout the day, which I found to be a great sign. It also includes the amino acid L-Tyrosine, which supports mental processing and cognition when you're stressed, plus lavender, which is also known for being soothing in times of need. These chocolates have made my past week so must easier, and I fully plan on buying some more once I get close to running out.

In my experience, Rae Wellness's dark chocolate supplements work like a charm. Not only do they taste incredible, but the benefits from them are pretty apparent. I'm not sure if the flavors will be for everyone—the Probiotic flavor is quite salty, and I know lavender isn't everyone's cup of tea—but I adore them, and I also always remember to take them because they're so tasty. They're also a bit pricey, with each chocolate costing a dollar, equaling a dollar a day (or two dollars, if you spring for both), so you may want to do a test run of your own to see if the benefits are worth the cost in your own situation.
