Sweety High and Song House Teamed Up With Rosedale Collective for the Epic 'Cohort Zero' Showcase

Here at Sweety High, we love discovering and empowering the most talented rising artists around, which is why we recently partnered with Song House and Rosedale Collective to make the incredible "Cohort Zero" Showcase a reality.

Rosedale Collective is a one-of-a-kind music accelerator and label that works with new musicians of color in the country, folk and Americana genres, helping to develop them as artists while providing a supportive network. They invest in new artists and rising talents, also making sure they always own the masters of their own songs.

And while Rosedale is launching a massive, year-long accelerator in 2023, we helped them to finish up 2022 with a bang, with their two-day Cohort Zero event and showcase, held earlier this month.

Cohort Zero

On Nov. 2 and Nov. 3, Rosedale Collective held their Cohort Zero music development and songwriting event, bringing together rising artists Dzaki Sukarno, Jennah Bell and Gabe Lee for two days of intensive workshops. Over the course of these two days, they went through an industry boot camp discussing the music business, Web3, social media, creative impact develoment and, of course, songwriting, overseen and mentored by RIAA-platinum artists, songwriters and producers David Ryan Harris, Fernando Garibay, Leah Turner and Rissi Palmer. During the event, the three artists worked on original songs with Song House writers, as well as their mentors, culminating in a showcase at the Gibson Showroom in Los Angeles on Nov. 3, sponsored by Cracker Barrel.

"This is a dream opportunity for these artists," Rissi Palmer explained in a press release. "What a gift it is to be given time, support, and feedback to create your best work. I'm honored to be a part of this process and look forward to learning a thing or two myself!"

"For the past five decades, country music has been the soundtrack of our brand; our musical partnerships have brought warmth, joy and a sense of connection to our guests," added Cracker Barrel senior vice president and chief marketing officer Jennifer Tate. "We're proud to continue supporting talented musicians in partnership with Rosedale Collective to help cultivate and celebrate artists of color in country music."
