The Most Stylish Taylor Swift-Inspired Showgirl Orange Hues to Wear This Season

The music world has been abuzz ever since last week's announcement that Taylor Swift be releasing her next album, The Life of a Showgirl, on Oct. 3.

She appeared in last week's episode of Travis and Jason Kelce's New Heights podcast to discuss a number of topics and spill the first details on the new album. This included dropping its track list, as well as the album art and its striking color scheme, including the title text and vinyl record in irresistibly orange sparkles.

"I've just always liked it, Jason," Taylor answered when asked her about the color choice. "I don't know. It feels like it feels kind of energetically how my life has felt. And this album is about what was going on behind the scenes in my inner life during this tour, which was so exuberant and electric and and vibrant."

We're already anticipating Showgirl Orange as the color of the latter half of 2025, and if you're eager to wear it through the end of summer, into fall and beyond, here are some beautiful hues you should incorporate into your wardrobe ASAP.

Burnt Orange

If you're hunting for a shade of orange that's sharp yet subtle and super wearable throughout fall, you can't go wrong with a burnt orange. Its brown tone gives it a more subdued approach that looks especially pretty as the leaves change colors around you. It's also timeless, looking great on a signature piece of outerwear, and especially cute with tan leather accessories.

Cantaloupe

Still holding on to summer? In many places, it'll stay hot and extra sunny for a while no, so there's no shame in making the most of the vacation vibes with a more playful and gentle shade, like cantaloupe. The color incorporates a hint of pink so it's bright and fun, without leaning into more in-your-face peach shades.

International Orange

International Orange is a deep and evocative red-orange color that was literally developed for high visibility by aerospace engineers, so you know it'll help you stand out in any crowd. It's the perfect daring shade to wear if you're not afraid to make a statement and get yourself noticed, with a rich color that naturally draws the eye.

Pure Pumpkin

Pure pumpkin orange is totally classic, and another great pick for those who don't shy away from color. It's warm and joyful, feeling sunny without leaning into neon hues, and can add a pop of appeal to just about any ensemble. While the color can feel like bit of a cliché come October, we don't think there's anything wrong with that. Wear your pumpkin with pride.

Marigold

Orange isn't really a color for the shy, but if you're seeking something less intense, with a more light, tropical feel, we suggest a nice marigold color. It's got a nearly golden, ambery hue, learning toward yellow rather than a standard orange. Worn with white accents, it's just the thing for sunny summer ensembles, while dressing it with darker colors brings it right into autumn.

Sherbet Orange

Sherbet oranges show just how multifaceted orange can be, feeling slightly more muted with creamy hues, without forgoing the vibrancy and shine you find in a great orange color. Often, you'll find it on pieces with some kind of sheen to the fabric, whether satin, silk or polished cotton, which adds further complexity to this dessert-inspired hue.

Vermillion

Vermillion isn't just the name of a town from the Pokémon universe, but also a rich yet surprisingly wearable shade of red-orange. It falls just shy of being a true red, giving it a bold and sporty appeal. We love how eye-catching it manages to be, without being as in-your-face as some of the other great oranges on this list.
