Petrichor
Springtime has definitely brought April showers. It has been raining nonstop where we live. We can't complain because we love the stillness that comes after the storm. The skies turn blue again, and their is that satisfying smell of rain. The scent actually has a name: "petrichor." It's earthy, fragrant and clean.

Loquacious
We have seen so many people acknowledge that they are a "yapper." In other words, you probably have a tendency to ramble about things you enjoy. Some people would call this talkative, or you can say it's being "loquacious." Plus, it sounds so much prettier than being plain ol' chatty.

Gadzooks
Gone are the days of saying "oh, God" or "darn it." Our shock about surprising events has upgraded to "gadzooks" territory. Gadzooks doesn't have an exact definition. It's simply a phrase you'd shout when something annoys or surprises you. After all, anyone who yelled "gadzooks" would get our attention!

Resplendent
Sorry but calling us "beautiful" or "gorgeous" won't do it. We need something more grand for someone to impress us. How about "resplendent?" You would call a person resplendent when they look extremely attractive, thanks to their vibrant color. It's how we'd imagine an angel would look, fresh and glowing, if they descended to earth.
Ennui
If you watched Inside Out 2 last year, you may be very familiar with the term "ennui." Taken from French, ennui describes a sense of dissatisfaction or boredom with your current state. For example, you may notice you experience ennui when you do nothing but go to school and complete your homework. You need a getaway with friends to finally shake up your routine and make life more interesting again.
