Things We Need to See in Season Two of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina

It's been almost a month since Chilling Adventures of Sabrina premiered on Netflix and we've already watched it a handful of times through.

We won't reveal the number, so we can appear as though we actually have a social life and don't spend our free time locked indoors. And… moving on.

Season one was everything we could've hoped for and then some, but we still wanted more. There are questions we need answered, characters we need to see more of and spells that need casting, so season two better bring it.

Keep scrolling for the full list of things we need to see happen in the next season of CAOS.

Some Flashbacks to Simpler Times

Towards the end of the first season, we learned a lot about the history of Greendale. We discovered the ties between Sabrina, Harvey, Roz and Susie's relatives. In season two, we'd like to explore that a little more. They're all clearly good friends now, but what were times like back in the olden days? Were they all on the same page, or did their relatives really not get along? Clearly, Harvey and Sabrina's relatives did not, but it'd be interesting to see more of that played out in the upcoming season. We're all about a well-placed flashback, and we think this next season is truly deserving.

An Answer to Who Killed That Warlock Boy

In the beginning of season one, a teen boy was murdered. It was then revealed that he was a warlock, making his murder all the more suspicious. While we waited and waited for an answer on who could do such a thing, we never got it. To this day, it still keeps us up at night. We hope that in season two, this is revealed to be a more major plot for something wicked going on. Could it possibly be that a modern day witch-hunter is living in Greendale? Could it even be *gasp* Harvey Kinkle himself? Those warm brown eyes aren't fooling us, Harvey! It's probably not the Kinkle boy, but we can never be too sure, especially with all that's happening in the town of Greendale.

The Dethroning of Father Blackwood

It was made abundantly clear that Father Blackwood is up to something and we don't like it one bit. He never sat well with us from the get-go, but after watching him rile up his legion of exclusively male followers about taking back the Church of Satan, we were ready to jump through our screens and fight him ourselves. Sabrina will likely take care of him, especially seeing as she's one powerful, powerful witch.

But we hope by the end of the season he is no more. Obviously, that would leave his kin parentless (sorry, Prudence—but you've been an orphan before, so you can do it again), but we're all about it to see that monster taken down. Seeing as he doesn't believe in equality between witches and warlocks, there's someone better who can take his place. We'd say that honor should go to Sabrina, but Aunt Zelda might be the Church of Satan's best option.

Backstory on a Ton of Different Characters

We were introduced to a ton of characters this season, but we didn't really learn a whole lot about them. First is Ambrose's love interest Luke. He seemed fine, until it was revealed he was pretty tight with Father Blackwood (see above paragraph as to why that's sketchy). We're all for Ambrose finding love, seeing as he's been locked away from the outside world for centuries, but he deserves better. There's something a little fishy going on with Luke, we just can't quite put our finger on it. Maybe we'll have our answer next season.

Next, we have Nicholas. Now here's the thing, we think we know who Nicholas really is. Hold on to your hats, because we're about to blow your minds. This tall, dark and handsome warlock may very well be Salem in the flesh. Crazy, right? But it makes sense. Do you know what Nicholas's last name is? It's Scratch. What do cats like to do? Scratch. Not only that, but Salem is Sabrina's familiar and tends to do everything she says. Doesn't Nicholas also do everything Sabrina says? Exactly. We'll leave you to think this all over while we wait for season two.

Next up, we have Aunt Hilda's love interest Cerberus. At the end of the season, after Hilda plants a sweet peck on him, he walks away and his eyes glow red. Is he a demon? Is he something else? He better not come for our girl Hilda, because we'll fight him ourselves. Both she and Ambrose deserve to be protected at all costs.

Rounding out this list, we have the weird sisters, or Prudence, Agatha and Dorcas. How did they become orphans and what brought them together? We need more on this to better understand why they're all so full of hate and, well, evil.

Hilda and Zelda Coming Together

Season one tore these two sisters apart—well, they did it themselves, but we'll blame it on the show. These two sisters have been by each other's side for many, many, many years, so we can't imagine them drifting too far apart—but again, we can never be too sure. With Hilda finding her independence and declaring to Zelda she's moving out of their shared room, that concerned us. After seeing their worst nightmares, we learned that Zelda's is being separated from her sister and Hilda's is being too close to her sister. Hopefully, they can meet in the middle and balance each other out, because something's a brewing and they'll need to work well with one another to fight whatever's coming next.

Some Sinister Wardrobe Changes

Everyone at the Academy pretty much wears the same thing over and over and over again. While we're all for recycling our outfits on the regular, they're witches and warlocks for crying out loud. Can't they use magic to create some stunningly sinister garments? We've had enough of the solid color dresses with the white trim. Give us something we need to run to Hot Topic to emulate in our everyday style, please and thanks.

The Dark Lord

We didn't really see much of the Dark Lord during the first season, so hopefully we'll get to know him on a more personal level in season two. We're not sure if it'll be worth it, seeing as he's Satan and all, but it could be fun. Maybe Sabrina, with her sheer determination and powerful magic, can talk some sense into him and turn him good. That's probably a stretch, but we'd still want more screen time from this bad boy. Even if he becomes the cause for all our nightmares, we're here for it.

More of Salem

Salmen's sassy retorts and witty comebacks made the OG Sabrina the Teenage Witch. We knew going into this much darker take on the classic, we weren't going to get the same Salem, but we finished the first season feeling as though we saw him for maybe 30 seconds in total. It probably doesn't help that Kiernan Shipka, who plays Sabrina, is allergic to the actual cat. Maybe she accidentally casts a spell that turns him hairless and potentially hypo-allergenic?

Again, we have the sneaking suspicion that Nicholas Scratch is really Salem in human form, so maybe next season that will be revealed. And if we're wrong about that, it wouldn't be the first time. But if we're right, we'll throw the best party the mortal and mystical world has ever seen.

Sabrina Honing Her Witchcraft

Sabrina signed her name in the Dark Lord's book during the season finale to save her friends, thus bestowing her with her full powers. And Sabrina was revealed to be one pretty powerful witch. That hellfire bit, c'mon?! While she is a witch, Sabrina didn't really dabble in too much magic during the first season. Okay, so she did and a lot of it wasn't a smart move on her part, but there's still the opportunity for more witchcraft to be shown on screen. Let's see just how powerful this little witch really is.

Sabrina Reuniting With Her Friends

And last, but certainly not least, we need Sabrina to reunite with her mortal friends Susie, Roz and Harvey. We're not really quite sure if she'll still be able to go back and forth from the Academy to Greendale, seeing as she's full witch, but we hope her ragtag team of misfits can help bring her back. Mainly because we want to see Harvey and Sabrina get back together (they're endgame, after all), but also because Susie and Roz deserve more screen time. There, we said it. What are you going to do about that, Netflix?
