K-Pop Sensations xikers Discuss New Single ‘ICONIC’ and the Excitement of Touring in the U.S.
Few K-pop acts have had a bigger year in 2025 than 10-member boy group xikers.
After celebrating their two-year anniversary as a group in the spring, they left a lasting impression at their first-ever American festival, Wango Tango, and on their Road to XY : Enter the Gate shows across the U.S. in May. Recently, they were back in the States, performing as special guests on ATEEZ's 2025 world tour. This month, they had stellar shows in Los Angeles at BMO Stadium and one in Arlington, Texas at the the Globe Life Field. We had the pleasure of catching up with the group over a Zoom call in the middle of the fun to talk about their newest music, the thrill of performing across the U.S. and what's next. Discover it all in the interview below.
Sweety High: As xikers, you've been together for more than two years now. How do you feel you've grown closer over that time?
Hunter: We've been together for two years now, and we've gotten to learn more about each other. We also have our differences, but we've grown to understand what each person's personality is like. That really helped our teamwork, to understand each other better and synergize more.

SH: What does the group name xikers mean to you?
Seeun: The name xikers is something I hold close to my heart. It's not just our name. Whenever I hear it, I feel a sense of strength and pride, a reminder of the journey we've taken and the people and members who have walked it with me. xikers has become a part of my identity, but more than that, I've become a part of xikers, and it's a bond and promise that will stay with me forever.
SH: What genres have you enjoyed exploring most together? Are there any that you would still like to approach as a group?
Minjae: I've always thought our members' voices are incredibly beautiful, each carrying its own unique color and emotion. We'd love to try all kinds of genres with our own xikers style added to it, but in the future, it'd be interesting to try a slow-tempo ballad. I feel like it would be a chance for us to show another side of xikers.
Jinsik: As xikers, we have a very powerful and energetic music style. It makes me even more confident when we stick to our own colors and our identity. It's always interesting trying out new genres and styles, but we also really like the style we're currently doing, so for now, I want to continue in the same genre.
SH: You recently released your new single, "ICONIC." What does the song and its message mean to the group?
Junmin: For me, "ICONIC" represents leaving an unforgettable mark in your field. As xikers and as a K-pop group, we want to make a lasting impression and aim high. Our goal is for xikers to become something truly memorable, something people will never forget.
SH: What would you say is the theme of "ICONIC"?
Yujun: While performing our new track "ICONIC," we really focused on setting the tone and capturing the unique vibe of the song. It carries a style and energy that's a bit different from what we've shown before, so we wanted to make sure that came across clearly on stage.

SH: Do each of you have a favorite song from your latest mini-album HOUSE OF TRICKY : SPUR?
Jinsik: My favorite song from HOUSE OF TRICKY : SPUR is "Roller Coaster." It has kind of a cheeky and fun vibe the group always brings to songs. The recording process was also really fun, and I think I did really well.
Yechan: My favorite song is "Rock Your Body" because its vibe perfectly matches my style. Every time I listen to it or perform it, I feel completely in sync with the energy of the song.
Junghoon: My favorite song is "BREATHE," the title track of the album. It has a very addictive melody. There's also a killing part, which is "놀란 거야 혹시?" ["Are you surprised?"] that is extra addictive.

SH: What was it like to be a part of Wango Tango earlier this year? Is it different performing at an American music festival, compared to your typical concerts?
Seeun: It was our first time at an American festival, so we were quite nervous, but we think we did really well and it turned out great. It had been a while since we did a festival, but the audience really enjoyed the music and we were all able to vibe together. Since it was a festival, it was a mixed audience and not everyone was there as our fans, so we wanted to really show them all who xikers are.

SH: SH: What does it mean to you to be back in the States? What was it like opening for ATEEZ in Los Angeles and Arlington?
Hyunwoo: We came to the U.S. for our tour in May, and then just returned for this opening opportunity for ATEEZ. It's such a big stage and a big opportunity to be able to perform in front of so many people. We feel very honored to be able to do that.
