These 5 Zodiac Signs Are the Most Likely to Hold a Grudge

For some people, it's easy to forgive and forget. For others? Not so much.

It's a simple fact that certain people can hold grudges long after they've been wronged. For some, it's a fiery and obvious kind of resentment, while for others, it can quietly bubble and fester under the surface for years. For believers in astrology, it also seems that certain zodiac signs are more likely to hold grudges that others. Discover some of the most prominent examples below.

Aries (March 21 – April 19)

Aries have notoriously fiery tempers, and when someone upsets them, they do not hold back. They're straightforward and direct with their feelings, letting the person know precisely what they did to upset them—and they'll be happy to remind them what happened every time after that. If you get on Aries' bad side, do what you can to make amends, and fast. Otherwise, you're just fanning the flames. They may act like all is forgiven in shared company, but that's not a grudge they're going to let go of anytime soon.

Taurus (April 20 – May 20)

In most respects, earth sign Taurus is one of the most even-headed signs around. However, there's a good reason their zodiac symbol is a bull, because they can be just as stubborn about things once they've made up their minds. When they decide they're mad at you, you might as well accept it, because they're not going to budge and change that opinion without a very good reason—and chances are that their feelings are justified. They're also intelligent and have good memories, allowing them to hold on to what happened, whether it's every little detail of a single occurrence, or a laundry list of your mistakes that did them wrong.

Cancer (June 21 – July 22)

Cancers are sensitive water signs, and though they're highly likely to hold  onto grudges for ages, they won't necessarily let you know it. Their zodiac symbol is a crab, reflecting the sign's tough, unbreakable exteriors that hide just how soft and emotional they are underneath. Further, Cancers can have overactive imaginations, perceiving slights where there are none by misreading tone or making other assumptions, so sometimes the grudge isn't even based in reality. Still, once determine someone is their enemy, they're unlikely to change their mind (even if they keep this entirely to themselves).

Scorpio (Oct. 23 – Nov. 21)

Scorpio, yet another water sign, is misunderstood in many ways, but don't get it twisted—they can be downright vengeful under the right conditions. When anyone does something that hurts their feelings, they take it personally, and they are not ones to forgive and forget. Without a serious, thorough and heartfelt apology, plus actions to make things right, they'll hold on to that slight for a lifetime. Their intense and passion natures can easily be funneled into seeking justice, as they don't take these things lightly.

Capricorn (Dec. 22 – Jan. 19)

You might not expert goal-oriented and hard-working Capricorns to have time to hold grudges, but in fact, it's their all-work-and-no-play attitude that can lead to their deepest resentments. They're highly goal-oriented, so if anyone gets in the way of achieving their dreams, give all they've sacrificed everything for them, they're going to want payback. This can show up when someone gets a promotion they were vying for, or simply messes with their reputation among their peers and work colleagues. A Capricorn's work is serious business, and with their strong memories, they won't soon forget those grievances, or let them slide.
