The Story Behind 'Girl Crush'
Frawley: I wrote "Girl Crush" as an anthem, a reassurance to myself that I don't need anybody besides myself. All of the things that you daydream about a boy doing for you, you can get up and do for yourself! And "Girl Crush" was me putting that feeling into a song.

What 'Girl Crush' Means
Frawley: The song is the first thing I'm playing in the morning. The first song I'm putting on when I'm in a funk over a boy or just doing my makeup getting ready to go out with my girls. It's my little confidence booster and I hope listeners can connect with it in the same way I do.

Frawley's Favorite Lyric
Frawley: "It feels good to feel confident, finally right where I wanna be, might have 99 problems but feeling good isn't stopping me."
There's no better feeling then when you're finally in that era of your life where you feel so good and so confident, just feeling yourself! That specific lyric represents that feeling to me.
On Her Most Crush-Able Qualities
Frawley: I think my bubbly personality is the most crush-able thing about me. I'm always joking around and up to something—I love pulling pranks and just being silly. That's what makes me, me!

On Embracing Self-Love
Frawley: Self-love starts with accepting yourself fully—strengths, flaws and everything in between—without needing that validation from others. Prioritize your well-being, setting boundaries, practice self-care and surround yourself with people who uplift you! You are worthy of love and respect just because!

On the Music Video
Frawley: I found an awesome creative team who really drove the artistic vision behind the video—the funky sets, completely different looks! We collaborated and came up with this edgy, new-world-type video that I just love!
My favorite part of the video shoot was when we shot the bedroom scene. There were so many cool shots with the mirror that I just love.
