Get to Know Canadian Actress, Producer and Director RaeAnne Boon
With an ever-growing list of impressive credits, Canadian actress, director and producer RaeAnne Boon is certainly one to watch as we move into 2o25.
The multi-talented star has demonstrated her skills both in front of and behind the camera—sometimes on the same project. She directed, produced and starred in the 2023 short Starring Katie Kane, and also worked as a producer on 2024's dramatic mystery film The Island Between Tides, starring Donal Logue. She also has other exciting new projects currently in development.

Still, RaeAnne is probably best known (and loved) for her acting chops. She's kept busy since her first credit in 2015, and was nominated for a Leo Award in 2022 for Best Performance – Female in a Web Series for her work on the College Girls episode "Moment of Truth."

You might have also spotted her in the FX/Hulu psychological miniseries A Teacher and the music video for Nickelback's "San Quentin," as well as in Netflix's Top 10 series Firefly Lane, starring Katherine Heigl and Sarah Chalke.

However, none of her roles have captivated audiences quite like the one in Paramount+'s School Spirits. The supernatural show followed a high schooler named Maddie who gets trapped in the afterlife after her mysterious disappearance.
As Maddie goes on a journey to unravel the truth, she meets other ghosts—including RaeAnne's character, Dawn, who died in the '70s. Thanks to Maddie's help, Dawn is able to reflect on her past, giving her a powerful moment of closure. We don't want to say too much, but there's a very good reason that School Spirits was another hit Netflix Top 10 show.
