Everything You Wanted to Know About ‘You’ Singer-Songwriter Lucinda Odette

For Australian pop singer-songwriter Lucinda Odette, making music has always been a means of working through and puzzling out her own life.

Now 22 years old, Lucinda aspired to be an artist from the time she was a child, and starting writing her own songs at the age of 14. From the very beginning, she sought out to be a truth-teller, and her knack for penning songs that are undeniably cheeky yet emotional and profound has taken her far. Now based out of Los Angeles, Lucinda's an artist who doesn't hold anything back, with a bewitching theatrical approach that's blunt, raw, and unequivocally authentic. With every song, she reminds listeners that being different is not just okay—it's magic.

And this Friday, July 25, she's releasing her new song, "You." To celebrate, we caught up with Lucinda to find out all about what makes her one of a kind. Discover everything she shared with us as our Woman Crush Wednesday below.

Fun Facts:

1. At the moment, Lucinda's biggest passion is songwriting.

2. She's not really into either Marvel of DC.

"I pick up on energy and little changes in people without even meaning to. I don't always say anything, but I definitely feel it."

5. She believes her astrological signs describe her quite well.

"I'm definitely a Capricorn, hardworking and loyal. But I've got a Leo rising, so there's also this dramatic, fiery side of me that loves a moment and isn't afraid to take up space. It's a mix of quiet hustle and loud energy, depending on the day."
