1. Blackbear Releases Fifth Studio Album, Everything Means Nothing
Blackbear just released his latest album, Everything Means Nothing. Some of the tracks include "Hot Girl Bummer" (a total banger), "Queen of Broken Hearts" and "If I Were You" ft. Lauv. His album is already the No. 1 pop album on the charts, and TBH, we aren't surprised one bit. Be sure to stream the album and show Blackbear some love!
2. BTS Releases New Single and Music Video for 'Dynamite'
BTS just released the full music video for "Dynamite" (watch it HERE)—cue freakout! The disco-esque song is upbeat, poppy and right up our alley. The pop stars go through multiple outfit changes, all of which are pastel and disco-inspired. It's also the band's first-ever all English song, and we're sure it's going to set some major records. The music video itself features edgy dance moves (obviously), cute backdrops and stunning colors.
3. Tim McGraw Releases First Solo Album In Five Years, Here On Earth
Tim McGraw, three time Grammy winner, just released his first solo album in five years, titled, Here On Earth. The album's tracks have powerful lyrics that remind us to take care of one another and to be thankful for what we have. Featuring 16 songs, you can be sure to hear about love, relationships and a whole lot of fun.
4. Zac Farro of Paramore Releases Surprise EP, Zafari
Zac Farro, the drummer for Paramore, has just released a surprise EP, Zafari. This Reggae-inspired album is one-of-a-kind and goes to show that Farro can do anything he sets his mind to. When speaking of the Reggae genre, in a press release he said: "Zafari was made out of my appreciation for the genre, and I wanted to put it out under my own name as I hope to release more music that doesn't fully fit under the HALFNOISE moniker. It's one of my favorite projects and is meant for an easy summer afternoon."
5. Kiiara Releases New Single, 'Never Let You'
Kiiara just released her latest single, "Never Let You," set to be included in her upcoming debut album slated to drop this fall. The song is a total banger and leaves listeners singing along and bobbing their heads to the beat of the music. When listening to the track itself, Kiiara's lyrics are all about the decisions she's made in life, and how they've led her to this point. The tune is super relatable and sure to be a hit.
6. Flor Releases New Music Video for 'LMHO'
The alternative-pop band, Flor, just released the music video for their single, "LMHO" (watch it HERE). Flor is a band from the small town of Hood River in Oregon, which is where the music video was shot during quarantine. The four bandmates' latest song gives us all the vibes as they discuss their usual topics of heartache and lost loves.
7. Dolly Parton Releases New Song, 'Mary Did You Know?'
While Christmas may be months away, Dolly Parton didn't hesitate in releasing "Mary Did You Know?," a song that will be included in her holiday album, A Holly Dolly Christmas. This song gets us so excited for the holidays, and we can't wait to hear the rest of the album on Oct 2. It's just what we need in these strange times, a reminder that hope can go a long way!
8. ROZES Releases New EP, Crazy
Singer-songwriter ROZES just released her new EP, Crazy. The melodic and smooth-sounding titular single goes into detail discussing the artist's "crazy" love life, and how she views romance in general. This relatable track will leave listeners thinking of their own wild and erratic love lives.
9. Sameer Gadhia of Young the Giant Launches Point of Origin on SiriusXM
Young the Giant's lead singer, Sameer Gadhia, just announced his latest endeavor, Point of Origin. Streaming on SiriusXM, Gadhia will use the platform to bring awareness to more culturally diverse artists and bands in the alternative genre. When asked about Point of Origin, in a press release he said: "Through this platform, I want to create opportunity for artists of color and help foster a divergent narrative for today and tomorrow's alternative music scene."
10. Saint Motel Releases Music Video for 'Preach'
The indie-pop band, Saint Motel, just released the music video for their song, "Preach" (watch it HERE). Featuring the La Roller Girls on rollerblades while also rocking face masks, this video is flat out fun and vibrant. In a warehouse of sorts, the band and roller girl crew take over the space with dancing, skating and singing galore.
