P1Harmony Talk EX, KCON LA 2025 and Their MOST WANTED Tour

by Tayah Fox

From another EP release to a total KCON LA 2025 takeover, K-pop group P1Harmony has had a busy year, and it's only getting busier.

To accompany their large-scale MOST WANTED world tour, the band has released their first all-English mini-album titled EX. By releasing this album, band members KEEHO, JIUNG, INTAK AND JONGSEOB uphold the group's reputation as artistically involved idols with creative production credits.

This five-song project includes a Spanish version of the title track, "EX," emphasizing the group's international appeal. Co-written by KEEHO, INTAK, and JONGSEOB, "EX" is a rhythmic synth-pop tune driven by the group's impressive rapping abilities and harmonious vocals. The bouncy synth melody pairs perfectly with the mini-album's video game concept, giving it a digital vibe. Next on the album is the pop-rock fusion, "Dancing Queen."Produced by THEO and co-written by JIUNG, INTAK and JONGSEOB, this song is led by the sharp tone of an electric guitar, creating an authentic pop-rock sound reminiscent of the early 2000s.

"Stupid Brain," also produced by THEO and co-written by JIUNG, INTAK and JONGSEOB, is a mid-tempo pop-R&B hybrid featuring a light and airy string section. Following "Stupid Brain" is a track fit for a night of partying: "Night of My Life." The song incorporates quick drums, an anticipatory build-up and an intense beat drop—a common EDM technique for getting the crowd jumping. Lastly, there is the aforementioned Spanish version of "EX," where the group flaunts their Spanish-speaking skills after years of showing appreciation for the Latin genre.

During KCON LA 2025 weekend, Sweety High sat with the group to discuss their weekend at KCON, their MOST WANTED tour and the creation of EX. Read our interview with the group below!

Sweety High: How does it feel to return to the KCON stage this year?

KEEHO: It was kind of nerve-racking because we were going to perform songs we've never performed outside of Korea. We didn't know what the response was going to be like, so I was very surprised to hear everyone singing along. It was a very fun and humbling experience.

SH: Can you tell us about your favorite KCON memory?

JONGSEOB: From KCON LA 2024, we had just released our full-length album, Killin It', and while performing my verse, "my root came 2005," the entire audience sang along to that line. It was amazing.

SH: As performers, how do you think you've grown since your first appearance on the KCON stage?

KEEHO: Actually, our first KCON was during COVID, so it was online. At the time, it was pretty strange; there was no audience compared to this year's KCON, where we're surrounded by people.

THEO: Also, I think we've matured a lot with our stage presence and stage manners. Now that there is a crowd, we're able to develop more.

SH: How are you planning to make this tour more memorable than your previous tours?

INTAK: We've invested a lot more time, and I think the members really put in a lot of effort to connect each performance to a deeper story. Each song has a sort of narrative to it because of the way we crafted the set list and linked it to the tour's concept.

KEEHO:We wanted to add a lot more special effects to this show as well. So it'll be a lot more glamorous and fun compared to our earlier tours, where it was just us and a stage.

SH: What does work-life balance look like for you while on tour? Is there anything you do to maintain your mental health?

KEEHO: Work-life balance is actually easier on the road than it is in Korea. Back at home, we have something to do every day, but when we're on tour, we have a show, and then we go to the next city. Sometimes, we get a little time off in between shows, so we go explore the town, eat and rest.

SH: You guys focus on English in this album, and could we see more languages in your future releases?

JIUNG: Since we have a Spanish version of "EX," I hope we can release a Spanish song one day, or we could try Japanese.

KEEHO: We haven't had our Japanese debut yet, so maybe we'll do one soon.

SH: You have a Spanish version of "EX" on this album. Could you tell us how the recording process went, and was it more difficult than any other language you've worked with?

KEEHO: A lot of the members felt that Spanish was easier for them. It was hard for me, though, since it's so different from English. We had someone come into the booth and help us with our pronunciation. It was a difficult challenge, but it was fun!

SH: Is there anything else you'd like to share about KCON, tour or your new album?

KEEHO: We're always so happy to be at KCON; it's such a fun experience. Also, we're more than excited to come back to LA, headlining our own show at Intuit Dome, which is such a big and new venue, so we're excited for fans to attend. As for the album, we hope our fans resonate with it since its release will kick off our North American tour!
