5 Unique Ways to Incorporate Black Into Your Summer Nail Look

On paper, most people probably reserve wearing black for colder, darker seasons, like autumn and winter. But we, here at Sweety High, are rule-breakers. Black is one of our favorite nail polish colors, and we won't let bright and sunny weather deter us from using it.

As self-proclaimed black nail polish connoisseurs, we've discovered innovative ways to incorporate the shade into our summer designs. Check them out below for inspiration for your next look.

Butterfly Season

Butterflies have been trendy for a few years now. Recently, we've seen a rise in Monarch-themed nails. You can pick gold or keep it monochromatic with a glittery gray as your base, but you'll always need black polish to tie together the look. It's arguably our favorite on this list for the season.

Coquette Bows

We thought the coquette aesthetic might have faded by now, but at this rate, it may be here forever. We're not complaining because we love any excuse to lean into our femininity. You can channel that girly energy into your nails, too, with tiny black bows.

Floral Occasion

Aside from spring, we associate flowers with summer. Everything is in full bloom. To match the ambiance of the outdoors, opt for a monochromatic, floral look. You can get creative with simple flowers or try a more realistic design.

Tuxedo French Nails

We hope to see a rise in this French manicure. Instead of a clear base and a white tip, the "tuxedo" French has a black base and stark white tip. It adds a very charming contrast. Plus, it reminds us of Sabrina Carpenter and her iconic "Espresso" dress.

Timeless, Simple Black Mani

If all else fails, you can never go wrong with a basic black mani. It's easy to do and probably won't cost much if you go to a salon. And it will match all of your outfits because, after all, we know black goes with everything.

Technically, spring isn't over yet. Close out the season with one of THESE five blooming nail designs.
