Need a Ride to Prom? Uber Is Offering Rides for FREE With Uber Teen
Prom season can be a magical yet stressful time for high school juniors and seniors, but Uber is hoping to take at least one thing off your extensive checklist this year.
Just in time for prom season, the transportation company is offering an exciting promotion allowing new Uber teen account users (covering ages 13-17) to enjoy up to two free rides (up to $20 each), so they can get to and from their prom events safely, freely and conveniently, without the bother of a parent chaperone.

The promo also includes $20 off an Uber Eats order, so if you work up an appetite on the dance floor, you can order up something extra tasty after the big event.
Teenagers can reserve their Ubers up to 90 days in advance, and thanks to UberXL, there are also options for traveling with bigger groups in style. Basically, you can schedule ahead now, so you can stop fussing about transportation for one of the most important events of your high school career.

Traveling with an Uber teen account also takes pressure off of parents. They can enjoy peace of mind with live trip tracking and real-time notifications, so they can keep an eye on things without constant check-ins. Parents just need to add their teenage kids to their family profile to get access to these insights—and start unlocking these promotions.

"Prom is such a meaningful milestone for teens, and we want to help make it even more joyful and stress-free—for them and their parents," shared Georgie Jeffreys, head of marketing at Uber, North America, in a press release. "With Uber teen accounts, we're giving teens the freedom to celebrate their big night on their own terms, while giving parents peace of mind."
