Twitter Is Not Holding Back When It Comes to Ariana Grande & Pete Davidson's Reported Breakup

Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson's romance has had people talking for months, so naturally, there are a lot of opinions about their reported breakup, too.

Ariana and Pete called off their months-long relationship, TMZ reports, citing "sources close to the former couple."

A follow-up report from the outlet added that the death of Ariana's ex-boyfriend Mac Miller was a big factor and that it had made her realize her relationship with Pete was moving too quickly. The couple has yet to comment on the reports.

The Twitterverse was quick to jump on the news, and the people who predicted from the start that Ariana and Pete's relationship wouldn't last were particularly vocal.

The couple got engaged in June after just a few weeks of dating, so the short timeline inspired a lot of doubt.

Other people pointed out how awkward the situation is given how publicly the couple expressed their mutual love. Not only did they get multiple tattoos for each other, she named a song from her new album, Sweetener, after him.

Of course, there are also stans out there who were rooting for them and are sad that they've reportedly called it quits.

As Ariana and Pete's relationship has shown us, a lot can change quickly, so we'll have to see if this reported split takes.
