The Best Group Halloween Costume Ideas for 2025

Picking out the perfect Halloween costume every year can be a challenge, but we often find that it's way more fun (and way less pressure) to go out as a group—especially in themed costumes.

Our favorite costumes are always the ones with a timely touch, and 2025 gave us all kinds of iconic pop culture moments to transform into great costumes. If you need some inspiration for what you and your friends should wear this year, look no further than the ideas below.

HUNTR/X

If you ask us, KPop Demon Hunters was the biggest movie of the year, and at this point, we've lost count of how many times we've watched it. We couldn't think of a better costume idea for a trio of girls than Zoey, Rumi and Mira, the titular K-pop demon hunters who make up the band HUNTR/X. You can either go with movie-accurate costumes, with tons of great looks to choose from, or improvise and add black, purple and pink wigs to bring the characters to life. Plus, you can add on friends as more characters, such as Bobby, Jinu and the rest of the Saja Boys, or even Derpy the tiger or Sussie the magpie.

The Justice Gang

Superman was another film that had us engrossed with its message of hope and positivity this year, and while we're sure we'll be seeing a lot of Superman/Clark Kent costumes and Lois Lanes, we think a "Justice Gang" makes for an even better ensemble. We'll all be fighting over who gets to be Mr. Terrific, but Hawkgirl, Metamorpho and even Guy Gardner as Green Lantern also make for excellent looks when you've got a crew.

The Fantastic Four

If you've always been more into Marvel than DC, then your obvious superhero team costume for this year has to be the Fantastic Four. The matching blue retro-futuristic jumpsuits will immediately make your teamwork obvious, and whoever steps into Ben Grimm's The Thing gets to have even more fun with makeup and prosthetics or a mask.

The Addams Family

The latest season of Wednesday on Netflix has gotten viewers enamored with The Addams Family all over again, and we love the idea of going out on Halloween as one big happy family. Wednesday costumes have always been classic, but Pugsley, Gomez, Lurch and especially Morticia also have instantly recognizable looks that are sure to turn heads, especially when you're all standing together.

The Ratliff Family

The White Lotus had the world abuzz this spring with the conclusion of its latest season, and if you're still not over it, why not embrace the chaos and scandal by dressing as the Ratliff Family? If you live in a warm climate, embracing the vacation chic styles will make the looks easy to put together—but maybe it's best your actual family doesn't go for this one.

Stranger Things

It's hard to believe that started all the way back in 2016, and it's so deeply embedded into popular culture that we can't imagine a world without it. With the final season releasing by the end of the year, there's never been a better time to finale put together your Stranger Things group costumes. You've got your core group of Mike, Will, Lucas, Dustin, Eleven and Max to choose from, plus Nancy, Steven and Jonathan, and multiple seasons of memorable side characters to let you all embrace your '80s looks, with a spooky twist.

The Pitt

Earlier this year, The Pitt gave us a brand new appreciation for healthcare workers—and became our all-time favorite medical drama. It's also got a wonderful cast of characters to dress as for Halloween, from Dr. Robby and Dr. Collins to Abbott, Langdon, Mel, Santos, Javadi, Whitaker, Dana, Princess and Perlah and so, so many more. Better yet, the costumes themselves are all built around casual clothing, scrubs and basic medical gear (acquired easily at any Halloween store).

Only Murders in the Building

We don't know about you, but the latest season of Only Murders in the Building has us more in love with the series than ever. While the show is filled with some great supporting characters, our favorites will always be the three hosts of the titular Only Murders in the Building podcast, Oliver, Charles and Mabel. Whoever's Mabel gets to dress up stylishly as Selena Gomez, while the other two go more classic and masculine with the suits.
