Taurus season marks the time of year that the sun is in Taurus, generally lasting from April 20 to May 20. It's the second sign of the zodiac, following Aries and preceding Gemini, marking the middle month of the spring season.
Taurus's Element
Taurus is ruled by the element of earth, sharing this quality with signs Virgo and Capricorn. Together, these signs are recognized for their groundedness, determination and work ethic, tending to prioritize careers and success over fun and play. They're highly practical and detail-oriented, as well as curious about the world and likely to be passionate and talented. While they're not always the most outgoing, they're also known for loyalty and being strong friends to the ones they trust most.

Taurus's Symbol

Of course, a sign can't be all about positives, and Taurus is no exception. As steadfast as Taurus is, they can also be stubborn to a fault, with a tendency to think they're always right and refusing to change their minds, despite new evidence. Their need for routine and structure can also mean they don't respond well to sudden change and chaos, and they can struggle when they're not in control of a situation. They can also be quite superficial, sometimes opting for aesthetics over quality, and are also prone to laziness when they feel they've earned it or they don't have a clear goal on the horizon.
Taurus in Love
In relationships, Taurus is typically slow to open up to love. As loving and dedicated as they are once they commit, they feel that closeness must be won, and they often close themselves off emotionally to new people—stubborn as ever. Before they give their hearts away, they want to to know a partner is going to be as persistent and true as they are. Spoiling them a bit doesn't hurt, either.
Generally, they have the best compatibility with fellow earth signs Capricorn and Virgo, as well as the dreamy and watery Pisces, and have less luck with Aquarius, Leo and Scorpio
