Flexispot’s Viral C7 Office Chair Just Even Got Better
In recent years, Flexispot has been one of the leading brands for home office chairs, especially their viral C7 model. The company has now released an updated version of the C7, the C7 Lite, but does it stand up to the hype of the original?
The brand was kind enough to send me my own C7 Lite chair, and after using it, I have some thoughts. Find them all, and whether or not I recommend it, below.
The Setup
On arrival, the chair came in the form of a handful of parts and a packet of screws for assembly. The packet also included a small metal mallet that I used to successfully apply the screws, so thankfully I didn't have to spend any time trying to find a screwdriver. Overall, it took me a little over an hour to put together. I constructed it by myself, but the parts are fairly heavy, so I would recommend you get a friend's assistance if you can.

The Premium Ergonomic Office Chair with Footrest (C7 Lite): $269.99
Flexispot's C7 Lite chair has all of the classic features you'd expect from a great office chair, including a comfortable seat and great ergonomics, but what really sets it apart from the original is its pièce de résistance—it has fantastic posture support! Being able to adjust my seat and comfortably recline is one thing, but being able to lock in my specific posture stance in my chair to ensure I'm comfortable every time I sit in it is magical. The older model has tons of support tools, but it doesn't have the up and down posture feature that makes this Lite version truly stand out.

The Experience
After spending a few long work hours using this chair, I can confidently say that this is an office must. The footrest is amazing and unlike other reclining chairs I've used in the past, I felt like it was sturdy enough to trust and lean back. I chose the mesh option instead of the foam seat, and I think that was the one mistake that I made. The mesh is comfortable, but the more I sat, the more I wanted some additional support. After adding a throw blanket to sit on for extra comfort, I was good to go.
C7 or C7 Lite?
The question of whether or not you should invest in the C7 ($349.99) or the light model is honestly up to your preference. The C7 model doesn't come with the footrest, and it's an extra $30 to have it included, while it is already included in the base price of the C7 Lite.
It's also important to note that while both chairs have lasting warranties with Flexispot should any issues arise, the Lite only has a three-year warranty while the C7 has a 10-year care plan. Nevertheless, whether you choose the C7 or Lite, or one of the brand's other chair models, you really can't go wrong.
