Sub Out Lip Pencil for Eyeliner
Mario Dedivanovic has created iconic looks for everyone from Demi Lovato to Bebe Rexha, Hailee Steinfeld and most notably, Kim Kardashian West. One of his greatest hacks for lining your eyes doesn't even include an eyeliner pencil! He uses a reddish lip pencil to line the upper lid. He follows that with a bronze pencil on the waterline to create a "fresh" look, per his Instagram.
Focus on Your Waterlines
In addition to her heavy celebrity roster, Frarncelle Daly was the main lady behind one of our favorite brands, NARS. Her best eyeliner hack comes to us via Allure. Contrary to what we've grown accustomed to, Francelle suggests focusing on your upper waterlines. That's right, those can have eyeliner applied to them, too! She suggests using a black pencil to line the upper waterlines. Define your upper eye area. She suggests topping off the look with a beige liner in your lower waterline to make your natural eye color actually pop.
Create the Cat-Eye
Charlotte Tilbury is not only the creator of one of our favorite makeup brands, the woman is responsible for some of the most iconic looks out there. Tilbury has worked with a who's-who of Hollywood and everyone from Gigi Hadid to Kate Moss have sat in her makeup chair. Her tip involves creating the perfect eyeliner wing. She suggests that you start with drawing on a dot about two millimeters up and out from the outside corner of your eye. After you've positioned this initial dot, then connect each respective dot to your lashlines.
