These Edgy Styles Will Keep You a Few Steps Ahead of Your Fashionable Friends
It's hard to believe it's already almost the end of September, aka the biggest fashion month of the year!
We were lucky enough to make our way to New York Fashion Week, where we spotted some already very wearable spring 2018 trends that we plan on incorporating into our current fall wardrobe ASAP.
Below, we've curated our top eight spring fashion trends that you can impress your friends and start wearing right now.
1. Lavender Everything
Millennial pink has dominated 2017, but a new pastel is pushing forward for next year—lavender! Tibi, Tom Ford and Victoria Beckham showed playful pops of lilac throughout their runways, and it's clear that lavender is about it be everywhere. So, why not wear it first?
2. Wrapped Ponytails
It's time to get your pony in a bunch! Hair accessories reigned supreme this year, and our fave new trend is wrapped up ponytails with unexpected fabrics like bungee and leather. All you need to try this look now is take a trip to the hardware store.
3. Racing Jumpsuits
If you're a romper or jumpsuit aficionado, you'll love the outlook for spring. Long sleeve, racing style jumpsuits made a statement at Rag & Bone, Tibi and Public School. The beauty of this silhouette is that designers updated the look with suiting details—think lapels, buttons and blazer-style tops. And, it's totally appropriate for fall, too.
4. Fringe Bags
No matter your bag style of preference (read: crossbody, hobo, shoulder, or mini bag), add fringe! Alexander Wang and Calvin Klein made it clear it's the fringe way, or the highway!
5. Scrunchies
You've probably joked about wearing a scrunch before (long live the '90s!) but Mansur Gavriel brought back the trend in a seriously chic way for spring 2018. So chic, we're trying it out RN.
6. Fanny Packs
Yep, they're even on the runways. No longer just for music festivals and costume parties, the fanny pack has slowly creeped it's way back in vogue, and Solace London and Noon by Noor are proof. We're all for a hands-free moment, so we'll be picking up one ASAP.
7. Mellow Yellow
Fall's mustard trend is showing no sign of slowing down for spring, which means you should definitely jump on this color now before it's everywhere.
8. Power Pixies
Thinking of going for the big chop? There is no time better to cut off all your hair than right now. Power pixies dominated, especially at Tom Ford, where both Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner (temporarily) tried out the look.
We just gave you a little taste of Kendall Jenner on the runway, but let's switch the attention over to her sister Kylie, by presenting you with THESE life lessons you can learn from the Lip Kit maven.
