6 At-Home Activities for Your Rainy Day Inside
As the age-old saying goes, April showers bring May flowers, and this month has yet to let up from its storms. In the past week, at least in our neck of the woods, nearly every day has been gloomy and thunderous—but we're not complaining, because we actually enjoy the rain.

Yoga and Meditation
Since the rain is relaxing, you may find it easier to focus on your yoga and meditation during stormy weather. You don't have to rely on instrumental music to soundtrack your routine. Let the sounds of the downpour wash away your worries. Soon enough, you'll enter your most intense meditative state to help you tackle the rest of your day with no problem.

Catch Up on Emails
Are you lucky enough to work from home? At least you won't have to commute through the flooded streets. Start your day on the right foot by catching up on your emails. It's dreadful—we know—but the soothing ambiance of rainfall will make conquering the hundreds of messages less anxiety-inducing.

Nap Time
We are the kind of people who enjoy listening to relaxing noises to fall asleep—nature, beaches and more. However, it's always better when the noises are real. On a rainy day, we like to let the sounds lull us to sleep. Be careful, though, because the rain might have you napping longer than you'd expect.
Reading by the Fireplace
Reading can be even more fun when you set the mood. For example, putting on a soft playlist to soundtrack your book. You won't need music with the background noise of rain. Since the vibe will always be cozy, you might as well cuddle up by the fireplace, too.
Finish a Puzzle
Puzzles have their time and place. It's not our favorite thing to do when its a beautiful, sunny day. Stuck inside on a gross day, though? We don't have much more to do than lounge on the couch. Doing a puzzle will give us the brain activity we desire when trapped inside, and it's even more exciting when you can complete it with your loved ones.

Movie Marathon, of Course
The most obvious choice is a movie marathon. If we don't have anywhere to go, we almost always pick a good film to watch. Extra points for a spooky movie—it always makes the story even more scarier.
