The Easiest Sports to Add to Your Fitness Rotation in 2025
Becoming more active is one of our goals in 2025, but we dread going to the gym. No one talks about how daunting it is to be a beginner. Plus, we get super bored doing reps of the same mundane activity. We can't be the only ones who feel this way!
Rather than using the gym to get fit in 2025, we'll be trying different sports. They have more variety and can be social. Below, discover what we plan to include in our rotation to inspire your routine.
Pickleball
Pickleball made quite the impact last year. Everyone was doing it. In 2025, we will finally hop on the bandwagon. We hear its surprisingly easy, less intense than tennis but more engaging than ping pong. These days, you can even find local leagues to instantly connect you with players in your area.

Bowling
Many people forget that bowl is actually a sport! Think about how heavy the ball is—it's basically an arm workout. Plus, you have to use precise aim and strength to achieve the perfect roll. Because you can have a lane to yourself, it's also extremely introvert-friendly.
Swimming
Summer cannot come any quicker. We're missing all our favorite activities, like swimming. Thankfully, many gyms have an indoor pool to use during the winter. It's super fun (and useful in case of an emergency) while also providing a full-body workout. Once you begin to level up, you can do aquatic workout classes or learn artistic swimming.

Rock Climbing
Are you searching for something chill? You'll enjoy rock climbing. One of our favorite things about this activity is that you get to move at your own pace. There is zero pressure to speed your way up a wall. It's surprisingly social, too. We often see group bookings and classes.

Kick Boxing
We all need a healthy outlet for anger in 2025. Kick boxing, perhaps? You can throw the punches of frustration in a low-stakes environment while building strength. Despite how intense it is, you'll be surprised by how relaxed you feel afterwards.

Dancing
Dancing like no one is watching is therapeutic, so why not dive into a few lessons this year? Within a few classes, you'll be able to dance like someone's watching with ease. There's a lot of versatility here, too, from ballet to hip-hop.
Figure Skating
Contrary to popular belief, figure skating doesn't have to be as difficult as you might expect. Instead of striving for Olympic-level jumps and spin, learning the basics can be a lot of fun and provide an easy workout. Oh, and it totally makes for an Instagram-worthy hobby, thank to its stylish boots, shiny blades and adorable outfits to wear on the ice.
